Before I give you my 2 cents today, I?d like you to read for yourself what Wikipedia says about ?SEO??
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine?s ?natural? or un-paid (?organic?) search results.[jargonIn general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, academic search,[1] news search and industry-specific vertical search engines.
?As an Internet marketing strategy, SEO considers how search engines work, what people search for, the actual search terms or keywords typed into search engines and which search engines are preferred by their targeted audience. Optimizing a website may involve editing its content, HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and to remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines. Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.
?Due to this lack of guarantees and certainty, a business that relies heavily on search engine traffic can suffer major losses if the search engines stop sending visitors.[46] Search engines can change their algorithms, impacting a website?s placement, possibly resulting in a serious loss of traffic.
AND THEY SAY THIS?
According to Google?s CEO, Eric Schmidt, in 2010, Google made over 500 algorithm changes ? almost 1.5 per day.[47] It is considered wise business practice for website operators to liberate themselves from dependence on search engine traffic.[48]
Since you are a Doctor and not in the ?Internet Business?, it would be wise of you to maintain simple and elegant strategies and not strategies impacted by changing laws, regulations, and technologies.
Your practice growth should depend on creating satisfied returning patients and referrals and not ?free spinal exams?, SEO, or special discounts.
Here?s a ?story? from SEOMoz, a well know SEO website, that talks about a plumber who lost a lot of business because he relied simply on SEO and Google changed everything on him.

Many businesses have stories similar to this fictional example. My guess is those businesses did not maintain and nurture the relationships they had with their customers so when?Google?changed things, it had a dramatic impact on their bottom line.
Getting ?new ones? in the door is easy if you know what to do once you?ve gotten them?because if you aren?t getting most of your patients from referrals, you?ll never get enough new patients through SEO, TEXTING, FACEBOOK, OR FREE SPINAL EXAMS to matter much.
