Guest post from April Hogan
Having been around for a couple of years, Pinterest is a great resource for people looking for creativity and inspiration. The site allows users to create their own pinboards by posting, uploading and sharing content meaning it?s a visual feast of, among other things, cutting-edge design, photography and the ubiquitous food and drink recipes.
We?ve long since been huge fans and users of the site here at JCPR so we thought we?d share our favourite Pinners and boards each week to help inspire others
As a foodie, it?s not a surprise that my favourite Pinterest boards and pins usually involve grub of some description. Chefs, restaurants and writers on food are pretty much all I follow. My favourite foodie to follow on Pinterest is Donal Skehan, an Irish blogger, author and photographer.
In 2007 Donal started his own blog, where he writes about his cooking adventures and recipes.? After only 6 months blogging he was approached to write a cookbook based around the recipes on the blog. Inspired by a family of passionate foodies, his parents run a food production company, and cooking and eating hearty home cooking has always been a way of life for Donal.
I?ve been a fan of Donal since his blog started in 2007. His recipes remind me of home, and of dishes my mum used to cook. His pins and boards cover his recipes, his ingredients, kitchens and cookbooks. I could flick through his pictures and recipes for hours. His pins always encourage me to try out his recipes and well let?s be honest ? go and stuff my face with food!
